Would shop around for higher performance
I was put into this super fund many years ago and finally consolidated by funds and switched based on research into returns and annual fees. Make sure you do your research for your financial scenario...

I left Hostplus a long time ago to join another superannuation fund. Hostplus has higher annual fees compared to my current fund, Aware Super and only slightly higher investment returns in the My Super option ($668 versus $397-$457; information from the ATO website).

easy low cost option
I have only experienced Host Plus as I started my super quite late in life after a separation. It was very easy to set up and they have always been very helpful with any information I needed to give to employees. They have a great app which is easy to monitor, and I also like their informative free webinars on retirement. Great low fees and good returns on investment too

Good annual returns however staff still provide inaccurate information.
I have been with Hostplus for over 20 years and the annual returns have been good to very good during this time.
In saying this I have had staff providing me with incorrect information about my super and I do not rely on Hostplus for the information I require.

Easy to communicate with
I've found Hostplus easy to communicate with, and I think their member portal is pretty good. Happy with how my funds have been treated.

Never Again!!!
I was FORCED into using these incompetents, with a lower return than my usual Fund. it was use them or no job.... Major fight... but I could not win. The job/company also bowed down to the scumbag unions that insisted on this discrimination.I gave them the funds due, and as soon as I changed jobs when I couldn't was another fight to get my funds back out... including the Insurance premiums they did not want to return - I didn't ask or want the products... also forced on me.
Finally after a multi month battle, I won. But you shall never ever see another cent form me ya thieving $%^&*(s.

Not happy at all the contingencies placed on our own funds
I'm over the govt telling funds when we can retire and dictating
Time people took control and actually could enjoy their hard work and out back into to community and enjoy it!!!

I have been with Hostplus since 1990 , and am very happy with their long term results . I have found them easy to get on with , honest and reliable , and very helpful in setting me up for retirement . Their fees are among the lowest available , and their staff easily accessible for any questions or help needed . I would not consider changing to another provider .

Been with Hostplus for many years. The 1990s were bad for super and I lost a great deal of money. As an older woman who hasn’t worked continuously throughout her life I don’t have a huge super fund. It is an ok fund and allows you to manage your account well

Hostplus was originally state wide super.ive been with them for many years and have not ever changed. I've not had any problems with them and have always been very helpful.
